Narrow Height of Header Bar

Hi Support,

Sorry to bug you, but can't figure this out on my own and other forum topics aren't quite the same issue.

Can you please tell me how to narrow the height of the green header bar without making the logo/tagline smaller?

In Customizer, adjusting the width will lessen the green header height, but also minimizes the logo and tagline.

Or is this a problem with how I've sized our logo? Its size is ideal on the site, but there's just too much green above and below the actual logo/tagline.

Hope this makes sense. I'll add the URL in Private Information.

Thanks for your help,
Linda

Hi Linda,

Can you please tell me how to narrow the height of the green header bar without making the logo/tagline smaller?

Reducing the header padding would a good start:

Or is this a problem with how I’ve sized our logo? Its size is ideal on the site, but there’s just too much green above and below the actual logo/tagline.

This is also an issue. The best solution would be to recrop the logo image to remove the top and bottom padding:

Then control the rest using the header padding suggested above.

That's great, Leo. I'll try re-cropping the logo image using your linked information on both it and padding.

Thanks so much for both suggestions and links ... and for your super fast response!

Will post back with results.

Linda

No problem :)

Hi Leo,

It worked perfectly! Found a logo/tagline image I'd already cropped, uploaded it and then played with the padding until I was happy with the height of the green.

Looks as if I was in the wrong place the first time. Once in the Header under Layout as you suggested, adjusting the header height using various padding numbers worked easily.

Thanks again for your help and clear easy to follow instructions. :-)

Please stay safe,

Linda

Glad to hear.

You as well!
