My smart slider 3 in header won't show fullwidth

Hello,
I am building a family site and made a slider for my header with Smart Slider 3.
I want the pictures to show fullwidth and from the middle. But whatever I do, it does not work.
I also used a complete demo slider but also this one did not work.
Just a part of the pictures will show.
What have I done wrong?
Is this issue from GP or from Smart Slider?

Hi there,
I don't think the header widget is the correct placement.
Try creating a header element for it:

The slider shortcode can go in as the page hero content:
