The error message you’re getting doesn’t make sense for the contents of that file. You can try deleting the generatepress folder entirely and uploading a fresh copy. If that doesn’t work, I would look at any caching plugins or possibly server caching. Save any custom CSS/functions in your child theme and delete it completely. Then activate the parent theme.
