My menu item does not show when I am on that page

I am not wording this correctly, but my menu does not show all the items when I am on one of the pages from the menu. For example, on my website when I click on the menu item "destinations" it takes me to that page just fine....but then the "destinations" menu item disappears from the menu and it is just blank. Would like it to change background or text color but not disappear completely.

You can change the color in the customizer.

Yes, you did explain it...but I don't understand. I have my colors set, but apparently the text color changes and I am not sure how I did that.
Go to Customizer > Colors - What is the setting for your Navigation Text Current?
