After messing with the css code I went back to it and it is now blank.

How can I restore it back to its original settings?

Hi there,

Which CSS file are you referring to?

GP doesn't back up your CSS for you.

I would recommend checking with your host to see if they have auto backup.

I’m talking about the additional css tab under customize.

When I first installed my theme, this had some code in it I was messing with.

Now it is blank.

Hmm currently it looks like a completely fresh install so I can't tell which site was imported.

Did you have some existing content in it already?

If so again I'd recommend checking with your host support to see if they have an auto-backup file.

There isn't anything we can do from our end unfortunately.

No this was a dummy site I was using to mess around with the theme.

I’ve tried creating a new site too but still there’s no code in css tab.

By default, there is no code in the Additional CSS field in the customizer on a fresh install.

The CSS you saw was likely imported when you imported a site from our site library:
https://generatepress.com/site-library/

Maybe you've reset your site since the import? Then the CSS would get erased too.

Let me know if this helps :)

This helped thank you very much. :)

No problem :)
