December 6, 2021 at 6:23 pm #2040630ElvinStaffCustomer SupportHi Michelle,
To clarify, were you using a plugin or a custom post loop code to display pages on the static
/blog
page?If not, can you check on Admin > Settings > Reading if the “Posts page” dropdown is set to “Blog”?
Let us know. π
December 6, 2021 at 6:34 pm #2040635Michelleno i wasn’t. and yes the post page is set to blog. i did have them on there. i have put some codes on the advance cc from the admin. it was codes that i copied and pasted in from some on seen in topics. but i have deleted them. and i am trying to figure out how to add the elements.
December 6, 2021 at 6:57 pm #2040643ElvinStaffCustomer Supportand yes the post page is set to blog.
Strange. The page itself doesn’t seem to be set up as the blog index as it doesn’t have the usual indicators of being one.
Can you copy the site to a staging site and provide us temporary backend access to check?
and i am trying to figure out how to add the elements.
I suggest reading this article –
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/and watch some of our videos about different Block elements on our official YouTube channel –
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoHk-JZFs1N-iI2DQlIKVnADecember 6, 2021 at 7:20 pm #2040659Michelledon’t know how to setup stage website, i did recheck the reading and my blog was clicked off, but it still isn’t bringing posts up
December 6, 2021 at 7:40 pm #2040678ElvinStaffCustomer SupportYou actually have to set it up like this – https://share.getcloudapp.com/YEuPnNmq – so the posts appear on the /blog page.
This effectively turns the static /blog page into the blog index page of the site which should display posts on the page assuming there are existing posts on the site.
Can you provide us temporary backend access to the site instead? Also, can you temporarily disable ALL plugins except GP Premium? (atleast until the issue is resolved?) Let us know. π
You can use the private information text field to provide the site details. π
December 6, 2021 at 7:46 pm #2040681Michelleok i deactivated the plugins. how do i give you access to my site. that is fine with me instead of staging one
December 6, 2021 at 7:49 pm #2040682ElvinStaffCustomer SupportYou can use the topic’s Private information text field. (only support team members can see it)

December 6, 2021 at 8:15 pm #2040692ElvinStaffCustomer SupportNo need to include the FTP access. We only need to access WP Admin Dashboard to check a few things.
Can you share a temporary access for it? Thanks! π
December 7, 2021 at 8:14 am #2041381Michellei sent my url last night. i haven’t heard anything. all i am getting is telling me to share temporary access. other than the url i don’t know what you are asking for. Can you be more specific?

December 7, 2021 at 11:39 am #2041598YingStaffCustomer SupportHi Michelle,
The cause is you assigned a block element – content template to the blog, but the block element is empty.
Once you set up the content template correctly or just set its status to draft, the issue should be fixed.
