My blog post is showing two H1
8 replies · Started by Isabella on March 9, 2023
Hi,
I posted my first blog post today on my website and it is showing two times the H1 - on the top of the page and on the beggining of the post after the principal image of the post.
I use the Java layout of Generate Press.
Is it normal or there is something I can do about it?
Hi Isabella,
It's not normal. We can do something about it.
For reference, can you provide the link to the site in question?
You may use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
Hi Fernando,
Thank you.
Let me know after you see my link what I can do about it.
Thank you!
You can disable the Title from the Block Element settings of your Page Hero. Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-page-hero/#disable-title
You should be able to find this Page Hero in Appearance > Elements.
Thank you so much Fernando. It worked!
I can also disable the "author" part on my blog posts? And if so where can I do it?
It should be there as well. Try disabling the primary post meta.
Or, go to Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog > Content > Single and disable "Display post author". Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-overview/
Hi Fernando,
It didn't worked with both options and neither with just one of them alone.
Is there any other thing I can try? Or there isn't?
Thank you.
Hi Isabella,
Either of the solutions Fernando provided should work.
Can you try clearing your cache and disabling your cache plugin?
