Hi there,

I have just purchased this theme after regretfully not doing much research and installing a theme that was too slow. I would like to switch over to this theme.

I have already built my website on the previous theme, which I believe includes custom posts.

Here are images of what the website looks like now, and also what it looks like in my WP dashboard:

When I previewed GP theme, pages other than blog and main page cannot be found.

Before I begin working on switching over, may I know how do I address this? How do I have all my posts available as per what I have now without anything missing?

Hope that my question is clear. Thank you.

Hi there,

theme specific CPTs can't easily be transferred over to a new theme.
Did you use any of the custom post types ? Or just the regular posts ?

Hi David,

I did use some of the custom post types, but not all.

Here's my website: https://people.my/

The ones using custom post types according to the theme is for "our services" and "team". The rest are just regular pages/ posts.

Any suggestions on how I can go about this?

Theres no easy way to copy over a CPT - you would have to build those templates and the stylesheets from scratch.

It may be easier to rebuild those as static pages in your new site.

You can then use a plugin like WP Show Posts to create static archive pages such as your Team Page.
