Moving a Non Wordpress site to GeneratePress

Hey guys,

Hope you are all well,

I have a client with a non wordpress site, which has been designed using code editing software like Adobe Dreamweaver and he wants a total new redesign of the whole site done with wordpress and he can provide all the content in the form of HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.

I wondered if it’s possible for me to copy the coding across to GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks for his new redesign or should I redesign it from scratch.

I’m currently not sure the best way to undertake this job, and any help or advice is much appreciated.

Hi there,

i would start from scratch. You only really want to import the 'content' from the site, any HTML and its related CSS and JS is just going to cause a big headache, as your going to be adding HTML inside the theme templates and content HTML.... not nice :)
