    Hi,

How do i change the defaults for mobile padding globally and not manually within each container?

I’ve tried setting the Customize settings for mobile within Customizing ▸ Layout ▸ Container, but does not have any effect on the mobile spacing.

It looks like the 40px default is just passed on from the desktop layout. Even when editing the defaults for desktop spacing Customizing ▸ Layout ▸ Container this is not reflected in any containers.

I’m working with a child theme, and I’ve found this issue: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/full-width-container-on-mobile-devices/. Sadly following this did not help me.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Quick follow up. So Changing the padding actually does reflect within the layout. HOWEVER if i use a container the default spacing for all formats is 40px. How do i change the GLOBAL defaults for container spacing within my theme? Say Desktop 40,40,40,40, Tablet 20,20,20,20, Mobile 10,10,10,10.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

How are you adding the Containers ?

Hi David! Sorry for the delay. Busy times.

I add my the Containers to my full width layout/page using the GP Container Gutenberg block.
This is the example rendering of a container with content and no further adjustments made: rendering https://ibb.co/pZj1DT5

As you see the left-right padding of ‘test inside container’ is 40px instead of 24px.

These are my mobile settings under: Customizing ▸ Layout ▸ Container
    settings https://ibb.co/tBGzhMn

Does this give you any clue as to whats going wrong?

The Contatiner Block in the editor has its own padding settings, select the block in the editor and in the Settings ( Sidebar ) > Spacing you can change the padding for Desktop / Tablet and Mobile.
