Hi,

I am using the Volume theme and want to reduce the H1 text size for mobile devices. I have tried changing the Mobile font size (Appearance > Customize > Typography > Headings) but nothing happens. I am unable to change the Font size but Line Height and bottom margin settings are working. What could I be missing?

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Jagmeet,

One possible reason for the occurrence of this issue is a defined Font Size value in the Block settings of the Heading Block.

See this for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8ukb4qq

In terms of importance, the value of the Font size in the Block settings would override the value set in Appearance > Customize > Typography.

If the Font size value of the Block settings are left blank, then the font size set in Typography would be the one followed ideally.

See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Qwu4wbD5

Moreover, from my end, I could see that the current font size set for H1 blocks in mobile is 31px. Can you check where you set this value?

Kindly see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Qwu4wbGW

Hope to hear from you soon! :)

Hey Fernando,

Thanks for getting back so quick.

The H1 font size for mobile is set to 31px.

The first reference you shared is for an explicit H1 block. I am using the title as the H1 (default), and therefore I do not see any block to change the font size of the title itself.

Thanks.

Not sure if you are asking for Wordpress access or just the link URL, but I have added the latter.

Thank you soo much Leo!

You are spot on in your observation. Not only I resolved this issue but other issues I was facing as well.

Generate Press support team is top notch.

Thanks!

No problem :)
