I can’t seem to optimize mobile view separately from the desktop version.

I’ve had no trouble in the past but for some reason my homepage is not allowing me to change the size of images and text separately from the desktop version.

    Hi Dylan,

For the images, it’s controlled by WordPress. GP has no controlled over image sizes on different views. I tested your site’s performance, and the biggest impact we can address first with regards to images is their format. See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/12uzwLk2

Basically, it’s highly advised to use next-gen images for websites. A commonly used format for images is webp. You can manually change the format of your images and reupload them, or, there are also plugins you may use for this. I found this article which may assist you: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-use-webp-images-in-wordpress/

Personally, when I create websites, I manually change image formats before I upload them, and make sure they’re sized relative to what will be displayed for best performance results – The less the plugins, the better, more or less.

As for texts, you should be able to change the sizes of texts on different views through GP’s Typography module. Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/dynamic-typography-overview/

May you point us to a specific text in your site which isn’t changing in size when specified to?

Hi, there is no option for me to change the font size separately on Desktop and mobile.

The only way I can even change the view from desktop to mobile is by clicking on one of the containers.

I want to be able to change the sizes (as in the physical size) of my texts and images separately.

    Please see photo attached Options

There should be an option there to switch to Mobile view. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Jru808Nj

Are you seeing that, and if so, is it working?

As for the image, can you reupload the image? I can’t view it.

I see. Can you provide admin login credentials so we can take a closer look?

Please use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information

Thank you. However, can you change the user role to an Admin so we can view the Typography module in your site?

Yes, I have changed it now. Thankyou

I tried checking, and it seems you haven’t saved a specific font size unique to the mobile view in the Typography module for any of your Typography rules.

To test, can you try changing the Body font for mobile in the Typography Module? Let’s us know once done, and I’ll re-check.

What do you mean, haven’t saved a specific font size unique to mobile view? Isn’t it automatic. I can’t change anything in the mobile module because it’s not there

I keep telling you, there’s no module for mobile, unlike the other pages I typically work on

Also, I need to change the title and move the button below the image, you’re welcome to test it yourself to see if it works

I meant there’s the font set for Desktop and mobile are the same. It’s not automatic. By default if no font-size is set for mobile, mobile view devices will use the font-size set for desktop.

I tried it on your site. It seems to be working as expected. Did you click the Mobile view button as mentioned previously? Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuWxRmJ

    Here’s a sample video as well: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0uZxLyE

    Okay thank you for this.

But I’m starting to wonder if this is an accessibility problem on my end.

I watched the screen recording and it looks like you’re using the customize button instead of edit page, when I use the customize button instead I can’t edit anything on my page at all, only with the edit page button.

    How did you access this?

Because I just press it in the top left corner when I’m logged into WordPress
