    Good morning,
I have detected that my website is not optimized for mobile usability according to Google’s guidelines. This happens only in the blog article entries, not in the pages that I have designed manually in elementor.

I haven’t noticed this before because I do see correctly my blog on my mobile (or any other). So I do not understand why this happens. As I can see, Google shows the Desktop view when it should be the mobile view. So the text is too small, the menu is not adapted and the whole page is wider than the screen.

I adjusted the mobile breakpoints at 768 on the main navigation settings, but it only applies to the home. I do not know how to apply this to the blog entries.

Here some links you can test:
blog post (not optimized for mobile): https://cualquierdestino.com/que-ver-y-hacer-en-fez/
    Home (optimized for movile): https://cualquierdestino.com
    Google test page: https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?hl=ES

    Here you have some screenshots:
What I see in my mobile: https://cualquierdestino.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/my-mobile-view.jpg
    What Google sees: https://cualquierdestino.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Google-mobile-view.png

I hope you can help me to solve this, because it’s affecting my Google ranking.

    Thank you very much

    Thank you Fernando!
I’m editing the robots.txt file as it could be the problem but I am not sure what should I write in it.
    Any advice?
    Thank you!

It’s not being blocked by robots.txt actually.

The error report is saying “Other error”.

“Other error” may mean that Googlebot reached the limit of the number of requests it is willing to make to a server to prevent it from overwhelming the website with requests (AKA “Crawl Budget”). This may be one potential reason for the resources not loading.

Another reason may be your server. Can you ask them if there’s anything from their end that may be blocking the resources on the Google Mobile Friendly test?

You are right Fernando, I tried deleting robots.txt and doesn’t work, it’s still not Mobile Friendly according what I ‘ve just checked on Google Search Console.
I will ask to my hosting and let you know if it was that.
    Thank you!

Hello again Fernando, I come back again to try to solve the issue. I talked with my hosting provider and with an IT too, and they both of them told me that the problem comes from the blog design. So, maybe you could help me as I did it with GP PRO. They said that the issue may be in the navigation header, but as I cannot see on my phone anything wrong, I don’t know how to fix. Any idea?
    Thank you

It shouldn’t be the Header design. It’s more because Resources are being blocked.

I re-checked and it says “Googlebot blocked by robots.txt” for most resources now.

Can you check your robots.txt to make sure no resources are disallowed?

Hello, finally it wasn’t because robots.txt, but because of the design of the navigation menu. I set different breakpoints, changed the logo position and reduced the menu. However I removed the robots.txt as to prevent some resources that might been blocked as you suggested.

Thank you anyway for your help ๐Ÿ™‚
