Mobile menu tap expansion

When I have the desktop menu set to click to open instead of hover, then the mobile menu also works the way I want it too. Instead of having to click on the small down indicator to open a submenu on mobile, you can click anywhere on the main menu heading to open a submenu. However if I set the desktop menu to hover then the mobile menu requires tapping the small down indicator. Is there a way to combine the mobile menu click anywhere to expand functionality with the hover on desktop?
Hi Ryan,
The only way to do this is to set your parent menu item as a custom link, with a URL of "#".
If the parent item has a destination, then there has to be a way for the mobile user to reach it by tapping text.
