Shirley
I have logo right and menu left and have a breakpoint setup before 768px using css that keeps the hamburger menu left – Would like the menu to open on the far left but currently it opens on the right below the mobile menu. I’m fine with the logo and mobile menu stacking vertically at 768px but want to keep the menu floated right (but open left below logo) until then.
Thanks for any help.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Would the mobile header option works better for what you have in mind?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/mobile-header/Let me know if this helps 🙂

I don’t see how that is going to help me. I don’t mind the mobile menu as it is right now – I am referring to menu being too wide so I changed the breakpoint and would like logo left | hamburger right which opens menu below the logo to the left.

Not quite sure if I understand. The mobile menu breakpoint settings changes when the mobile toggle kicks in and isn’t related to the width of the menu.
would like logo left | hamburger right which opens menu below the logo to the left.
So you want the header layout to change when the toggle is clicked?

StaffCustomer SupportWe also have the off canvas option for mobile menu if you haven’t tried it yet:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/off-canvas-panel-overview/Let me know if this helps 🙂

I just want the menu to open up on the left side

StaffCustomer SupportHave you tried the off-canvas menu option suggested above?
Let me know 🙂

Don’t really care for that method – as I said I just want the menu to open on the left. Is that not possible? Did you look at the home page and see how the menu opens up right below the Menu on the right. How do I move that to the left?

StaffCustomer SupportSorry I can’t quite picture what you are trying to achieve.
So this is what I’m seeing currently:
https://www.screencast.com/t/BLB7oFDpMXThe menu toggle is in the center and the menu opens up right below it.
What are we trying to change here?
Any chance you have an example to show?
I thought using the slide left version of the off canvas option is what you are looking for.

Please look at it with browser wider than the mobile breakpoint
November 17, 2019 at 5:28 pm #1065928Leo
StaffCustomer SupportIt shouldn’t be like that by default if you are just changing the mobile breakpoint option.
Can you disable all the CSS in your child theme and let me have a look?

css removed – guess you saw how I had it so you know what the end goal is

Just so you know I was disabling secondary menu on home page and then having that reappear on other pages – am changing the main menu dynamically depending on what section you are in…

StaffCustomer SupportSo right now looks like it’s working as it should.
The menu is always opening at the left as soon as the toggle kicks in:
https://www.screencast.com/t/JaAHdOrQan9LNow you can increase the mobile toggle breakpoint if you wish:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/mobile-navigation/#using-gp-premiumAnd the navigation drop point option might be helpful as well:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/navigation-drop-point/Thought I should mention you can find a lot of options, especially colors, in the customizer instead of writing your own.

You are missing the point. I want the Menu button floated right of the logo and the menu ul to open far left. I don’t know how else to explain it.
