Mobile Header with Anchor Hooks

Hi I'm using Generatepress in combination with Elementor. I'm having some problem with the main page menu on mobile.

The main buttons on navigation have anchorhook links and slide down the page to the right section. However when you click on the arrows in the menu buttons, they have a drop down menu too.

On tablet everything works fine, but on mobile when i click the menu buttons themselves (not the arrows)the menu stays in the foreground and behind it the website tries to scroll down to the correct anchorlink but it doesn't quite work and the whole screen stutters.

After the stuttering is over you could technically press the X at the top of the menu and you'll see it scrolled down to the right area, but I can't have this stuttering animation go on for this clients website.

I've tried switching to a slide-out menu but that gave me a different set of problems. I'd like to use the regular menu.
