missing vertical alignment inside a container to place heading
4 replies · Started by Lance on April 5, 2023
Hi,
I'm trying to align text within a container, the tutorial i am using has a vertical alignment setting in the container block settings under the spacing setting, I do not have this in my settings, has it moved?
I have GP Premium with generate blocks all up to date.
The site is digitalmarketingnb.com and if you look at the home page i want to move the text at the top of the picture to the middle of the picture, how do i achieve this?
Thanks,
Lance
Hi Lance,
Try setting the GB container that's holding the background image to Display Flex:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/layout-options-overview/#display
Then set the Align Items to Center.
Let me know if this helps :)
Thank you Leo, now I am having trouble adding a second headline inside that container, it keeps adding it to the side and not underneath.
Sorry Leo, I am following the Authority Hacker course and I swear I am following the instructions exactly but thngs don't seem to be the same. The next problem is a attempted to add a gradient over the background photo to make the text more readable but it looks like it added the gradient over the text, I can still see the text in my wordpress dashboard but when I preview in a new tab the text is completely gone.

Try setting the Flex Direction to Column:
