I created a CPT using pods.
I then created a content template block element to style the posts on the CPT’s archive page.
The dynamic content blocks and dynamic content options are working perfectly in the content template EXCEPT FOR the excerpt’s “read More” button.
I used the “Post Excerpt” type dynamic content block and enabled the “Use theme more link” option. It shows the excerpt but DOES NOT show the read more button.

I’m curious if this is a known issue with an established workaround that I just missed while searching through your forums, or if the “use theme more link” feature should be working with a PODS custom post type.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi there,

    couple of questions:

    1. is the excerpt an auto excerpt ? or a manual excerpt.
    2. when registering the CPT did you include supports: excerpt

yes, it is an auto generated excerpt. none of the posts have custom excerpts.

and yes, the CPT has support for excerpts enabled.

Can you link us to the CPT archive page and the default blog page so we can do some comparison?

Today’s GP update seems to have fixed the issue for me. Tnx.
