Missing "Navigation Menu" Widget?
6 replies · Started by Henry on March 11, 2020
I created a Footer Menu and I'd like to add it to the footer.
I have followed Tom's advice here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-add-footer-menu-in-generate-press/
But "Simply drag the “Navigation Menu” widget into the area, and select your menu to display" > there is NO "Navigation Menu"
Any idea what it is that I am doing wrong?
Thanks!
Hi there,
so if you go to Customizer > Widgets > Footer 1 and search for Menu do you not see this ?

Let me know.
Super strange. That's a default widget from WordPress.
Maybe try disabling all plugins to eliminate any conflicts?
If not then you might need to try reinstalling WordPress unfortunately.
Could also check with their support to see if they've heard this issue before.
I found the culprit - Content Aware Sidebars Pro - anyone else used this plugin before?
OK, there is a setting in the plugin where you can "deactivate" plugins - just look under settings - in case anybody else has this same issue :)
Aaah ok - thanks for sharing your findings
