migration and SLL bug on media background files

Hello,
Would it be possible in a future update to use the get_site_url() function in a way that when a user is choosing a media as a background image, he won’t have to re-choose it when installing SSL or moving the site.

Hi there,
Unfortunately WordPress saves the full URL to the database when uploading files through the Customizer.
You can always use a plugin like Velvet Blues Update URLs to update the URLs quickly.
