Merging the Header/Navigation & Content Navigation Disappears Using Elementor

Just making sure this is the instructions you followed:

and not this one:

If so can you also double check Place content behind header is turned on?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/merging-header-navigation-content/#merging-our-header

and nothing is checked in the disable element meta box:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/disable-elements-overview/

If it still doesn't work can you provide a link to your site?

I had the "Featured Image/Page Header" disabled, which was causing the problem.It makes me incredibly happy that I can have a transparent header!!

I am just having one last issue but I'm not sure if it's a GeneratePress or Elementor issue:

There's a short column of white space running down the page now. I'm not sure how to get rid of it?
