Hey Tom!
Can I change the “Menu” text on the mobile navigation bar? I haven’t quite decided on what I’d like instead, but at the very least, I would like to change it to be all caps like the rest of my main navigation bar.
Also, unrelated and possibly much harder question, do you know of either a plugin or CSS that can make your lightweight social icons (or any icons for that matter) be floating & sticky at the bottom of mobile screens? Some plugins let you float them on the sidebar, but I would prefer a sticky footer. I can’t find a screenshot at the moment, but I’ve seen it before on more than one mobile website.
Thanks!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi Heath,
Do you have Menu Plus? If so, you can change that text “Customize > Menu Plus”.
Not sure if it’s any good, but it’s worth a try: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-share-buttons-analytics-by-getsocial/

Doh! I scrolled right past that option in Menu Plus! Sorry.
Hmmm… to get the mobile sharing bar with Get Social costs >$100/year! Yikes. Errnio has the appearance I want, but it only has “share” links whereas I just want links to my FB page, etc.
Is there any CSS for floating your lightweight social icons down next to the “scroll to top” icon?
Thanks!!!

I tried “Mobile Contact Bar.” Not the circular “floating” icons I wanted, but I think it looks OK. What do you think? http://www.dadkingdom.com
Thanks!

Thanks. Unless I’m reading it wrong, it says $9 a month!

I’m not seeing it, and I feel like I must be doing something stupid or overlooking something obvious.
I have GP Premium, and I do have Menu Plus activated, but when I go into Customize > Layout > Primary Navigation, I don’t see any option for Mobile Menu Label.
I see:
Navigation Width
Inner Navigation Width
Navigation Alignment
Navigation Location
Navigation Dropdown
Navigation Search
Sticky Navigation
Navigation Logo
Navigation Logo Position
Slideout Navigation
Left/Right Spacing and Height
Sub-Menu Item HeightAnd that’s it. Am I in the wrong place? Do I have a setting wrong? I am thoroughly stumped.

StaffCustomer SupportIt should be the first option in that panel: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/primary-navigation-layout-overview/
Are you using GPP 1.5.6?
March 15, 2018 at 7:50 pm #521177Justin
Aha! And there was the problem. My GPP apparently hadn’t been updating and was still stuck on an outdated version. I updated it and all is now well. I knew it had to be something dumb. π Thanks!
