menu - pages not showing

I'm trying to build my navigation panel on the left sidebar.
When I try to build the menu via the menus setup in wordpress, none of my pages are showing. All are in draft, as I'm not ready to publish. Can this be solved while keeping in draft mode? (When I tried this before, did not have any issues, but had to delete that site and start over due to other problems ..)
Hi there,
WP requires the pages/posts to be published in order to display them in the menu.
This isn't something a theme can control unfortunately.
You can consider adding some custom links items as placeholders while designing the menu:

Well noted, thanks Leo - I added an "under construction" plugin and activated - looks like that will work as I keep moving on my site - still having an issue with anything showing - can you confirm where menu pages should be created in - in wordpress pages, or in customization menu - which pulls best into homepage settings (which I may have configured incorrectly ..?)
can you confirm where menu pages should be created in
Menus are usually handled under Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.
thanks - I am still not able to get anything to show up on the homepage itself (trying to get it to show up on left sidebar - I will work with it some more
Any chance you can link us to the page in question?
