Hi, out of nowhere, I haven't done any changes but my menu doesn't work whenever I click on it. It only works after I ink 4 or 5 times. The first few clicks open nothing, only after a few clicks on the menu submenu appears.

Why?

Menu

Hi Lucjan,

Upon view your website and running Lighthouse, I found that there are significant issues.

See this for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/8LupW2op

The files needed for the menu to work properly is being loaded late. Are there multiple other plugins in your website with heavy javascript?

Here are a couple of links that could help:

Hope this helps! :)

Hi Fernando,

Thank you for quick response.

There were never any issues with my menu until the last update of the GeneratePress plugin I updated yesterday. It isn’t due to slower loading time. The loading time was never an issue for my site.

According to Ezoic metrix of my website it was always Elementor that slew down my site. I have changed it to GP but it's actually GeneratePress that makes websites significantly slower too as it's also a page builder, and they say that I should get rid of your free and pro plugin in order to speed it up.

After my yesterday's update of your both - free and pto versions menu began to experience these issues...

Now I wonder if Ezoic is right and I should never use page builders. I thought GeneratePress wasn't a page builder but it is.

Hi Lucjan,

Sorry about that, I don’t know what happened with my first speed test but I tried testing again and a couple more times, and your site scores were amazingly high.

In this regard, may I know if you’re using any minification or combination of CSS files? This may be causing the JS to load late.

Moreover, I can see that the JS files is being cached through Cloudflare. Some caching mechanism may be causing the JS file to load late: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkumjdJl

Can you try checking for any of these potential causes?

Hope this helps! :)

Thank you Fernando,

Ezoic supposed to be sorting everything for me, I'll chat with them.

Thanks!

You’re welcome Lucjan! Hope the issue gets resolved. Feel free to reach out if any further assistance is needed, and we’ll do our best to help. Hope you have a nice day! :)

I just wanted to chime in if someone else has a similar issue.
My problem was that the Ezoic Leap had the 'remove Unused CSS' option turned on and that caused the mobile menu not to work often.
When "Remove Unused CSS" in the CSS optimization setting of Ezoic Leap was turned off, the hamburger mobile menu was working again.

Thank you for sharing this Primoz! Appreciate it! :)
