The menu for my site - childrenstoybox.co.uk - is not working on mobile. Whenever I click the hamburger icon, no dropdown appears.

I have managed to get it working by disabling the mobile cache within wp-rocket. But when I do that, the speed performance flunks, and I am exactly nowhere.

Could you kindly assist in this matter?

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

Our suggested optimizing tips can be seen in this article:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/configuring-autoptimize/

You can definitely use WP Rocket as well - there might be a couple of plugin settings that need to be turned off.

You can try turning them on/off to test.

Let me know if this helps :)

Hi Leo,

Your reccos are all focused on Auooptimize plugin. Regardless, I have switched on the eqvuivalent within wp-rocket.

Now getting back to the issue - I can rectify the error by turning off Mobile Cache within WP-rocket. However, when I do that, the pagespeed drops from somewhere in the 80' ies and down to the 50'ies. In other words, thats not really an option.

I know it is possible to have both mobile cache working AND the menu functioning again. So where am I going wrong?

Thanks

Jacob

Hi there,

if the mobile menu isn't working its generally because this script cannot be executed:

menu.min.js

You can try excluding that from any script optimizations in WP Rocket.

But you may want to speak with WP Rocket as they would be better placed to diagnose the issue.

Hi David,

I tuned off the item "remove unused css" within WP-Rocket. That solved the issue.

Thanks for the support though.

Jacob

Glad to be of help
