[Support request] Menu cuts after 10 items

Hi team
I have a problem … the menu is cut with only 10 items.
I work with GeneratePress + Elementor Pro and have tried with the WordPress menu and other paid menus.
It always cut to the first 10 items and I need a menu with at least 50 items.
Where can the problem be?

Hi there,

The Theme doesn’t interfere with the number of menu items – thats a core function.
Can you share a link to your site ? And ill look to see if theres any obvious problems.

Hi David, good morning.
You are right because changing the Theme still happens the same.
I have a very large menu, with three levels and with more than 300 items.
Maybe this is the reason? Do you know if WordPress has any limitations in this regard? Maybe the hosting server?
I have checked and it is not a question of html or css, but it seems something internal.
I’m developing in localhost and can’t provide the url access …

Yes, there is a limit on the number of items a menu can have it is defined by the max_input_vars in your servers php.ini files. Its generally defaults around 1000 which equates to roughly 90 – 100 menu items depending on what else the site is running.

You can try increasing the max_input_vars to 5000 to see if that helps.

Please note most servers keep the input vars lower to minimise denial of service attacks on the server, so the host may restrict changes to it
