You did well creating the mobile menu and adding codes, but in order to make this work, we need to use the mobile header.

1. Go to appearance > generatepress, and turn on the menu plus module.

2. Go to customizer > header, turn on the mobile header :)

is that..customize>layout>header>mobile header>on ? If so it was already on.

The login you provided is actually your production site not the staging site.

I logged in and I can see that the mobile header is on, but it's using the off-canvas menu.

no. The other one. They need to be able to find the home page and blog page and it needs to have that search icon. I'm concerned when it is changed it won't have that.
and yes, I thought it was good enough to go live, so it's not in staging any more.

I see, then go to customizer > layout > off canvas menu > Off Canvas Panel, select off.

For the mobile header logo, go to customizer > layout > header, you can upload the logo there.

No. I don't want to put a new header. I want the search icon, so people can search for what they need.
