How can I make it so that on the slide out menu, on menu items that have dropdown elements, when you click the whole link the dropdown is shown. At the moment you have to click on the little end arrow. Which is fiddly.

Also as the target for the drop down links is just a '#' if you press it it just closes the menu.

Hi there,

You can create a specific menu for the slideout navigation so that there are no child items and everything is at the top level.

This site is actually using the same idea.

Let me know if this helps.

Ok, the menus on my site are very large though. I guess I'm going to have to rethink them on mobile.

In your slide-out menu, make it so your parent level menu item have this as their URL: #

You can do that by adding them as Custom Links.

That should make the entire link clickable :)

Hi Tom, that is actually what i have already but as you can see for yourself it just closes the menu unless you click the arrow at the end. At least it does in my android in chrome.

Your links currently have no URL - try adding a hashtag as their URL: #

Ah! Nice spotting Tom! I forgot I changed them so people on desktop didn't think they were clickable. I can do that with a css class though. Problem solved thank you!

You're welcome!
