Make some content elements full width

Hi
For the page provided in the private section (see URL there) I am trying to implement some elements full width.
The main body container has a width of 1240px. but some elements like the box with green background and white font should be 100% screen width and wider than the rest of the content above and below.
How do I achieve that using CSS without affecting the rest of the content?
I know it will probably not look very nice, but I would like to give it a try.

Hi there,
currently all of that pages content is inside a single GB Container Block.
Instead of putting all content inside the one container block, use several Container Blocks to create different Sections. You can then set each of them to Full Width or Contained.
