Make Section Cover Page

How do I make a section full screen but responsive?
What I would like is to create a section that covers any screen size, but only to the hight and width of the screen it is being viewed on.
I just want to be able to have have the hero banner (or sections below) on the home page fill the screen on desktop but not have a lot of padding above and below the text inside the section, as this would mean someone on a mobile has to scroll an age to get to the next section.

nope thought I had it but not. Please coould you let me know. Basically I would like to click a menu link in the header and for the site to smooth scroll to that section but the section fills the screen irrespective of screen dimensions.

Not really possible with Sections I don't think.
