Make off canvas panel overlap

Hi there,
Is there a way to have the off canvas panel overlap the wp-admin bar so it can have more space? Especially on mobile. For example, you see the edit page button, etc. on the WP bar, can I have it so when the off canvas panel is opened, it goes over that to give more space?
Never mind. It's working now.
But another question, how can I have more scrolling room on the off canvas panel? On mobile, it's a bit of a pain to scroll on it because you have the bottom bar in iPhone Safari that's covering it. Gotta kinda scroll outside of the off canvas panel to see the last item in it. If there was more scrolling room it would be easier.

Can you explain what you mean by "scrolling space" a bit more? Maybe a screenshot?
