Make dynamic images of next/previous posts only display posts in same category

I've tried replicating the issue but it seems to be working well on my end. Can you share the settings of your created post nav?

Here's mine - https://share.getcloudapp.com/kpuDQxNK - and it seems to be working well as when I browsed through the post navigation, it only stayed within the category in this sandbox site (posts titled 1,2,3 and 4) https://dev-generate-press.pantheonsite.io/?p=10

If you go here https://artisticadvice.com/airbrush-test-3/ and click on previous post, instead of taking you to "airbrush test 2" (like it says at the dynamic headline) it will take you to page "acrylic test 3" which is a different category. I want the previous/next post dynamic blocks to only take you to posts in the same category

Could this be because you are using the dynamic headline as the button and I am using generateblocks pro so I am using the entire block as the button

That all looks good to me. Just to confirm, is this only happening with the Container link? Does it work ok if you use a Headline or Button link?

Hey Tom, after I have removed the container dynamic link and only the headline link has remained, it does seem to work :)
I will keep it without the container link for now, please keep me updated if there is a solution or if there was any other issue that has caused it.

I've tried to reproduce this, and I've looked through the code to see if there are any errors, but I haven't been able to get it to happen.

Any chance you can link me to an example so I can inspect the HTML? That may help me reproduce it on my end so I can debug it deeper.

As you can see here the dynamic options for the container previous post link/headline previous post link are not similar, that might explain the problem.

You can see the previous post headline is set to "acrylic test 3" which is correct, however once you click the container you will find yourself in "airbrush test 4" which is a different page from a different category.
Basically all I want is the container link to take the viewer to the page mentioned in the headline (Headline dynamic options and in same term toggle all work perfectly)

You cans see the In Same Term toggle is in the sidebar settings for the Container Block.
Have you enabled that ?

Finally been able to confirm this as a bug. We'll get it fixed in GPP 2.1.0, which should be released mid-August.
