MainWP updates

GP Premium is using the Software Licensing extension for Easy Digital Downloads for updates.

I'll try to log a ticket with them in the next couple days about this.

Doesn't seem like it's in their immediate plans currently, but that could change.

This is the same for everyone using EDD to serve updates (most of the premium theme/plugin marketplace).

I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

We seem to ran into the same problem: new versions of GP Premium are not recognized by MainWP.

That's strange - it would be good to ask if they're compatible with plugins/themes using Easy Digital Downloads Software Licensing. It's a really popular service to use with premium WP products.

Update on MainWP being not able to detect new versions of GP Premium:

The people of MainWP looked into it and found a solution. The latest versions of MainWP are now able to detect new versions of GP Premium. Makes MainWP very useful for us.

Now, in 2021, updates via MainWP do not work for me.

Has something changed since 2018 that broke things?

Can you check with MainWP's support team first?

Looks like this is something they need to address on their end.

For me updates have stopped using both MainWP and Easy Updates Manager since GP Premium v2. So perhaps something changed in GP Premium.
