main nav menu in header, right of logo

I thought this would be a fairly straightforward thing to accomplish but I can't find any reference to it in the docs nor does there seem to be a snippet. But I'm trying to move the main navigation menu to the header, right of the logo (where the header widget is located).
What's the prescribed way to go about that?
