Main Menu - No difference between "on top of header" and "float right"

Hi!
I'm moving http://www.baubiologie-brida.com to wordpress and generatepress (http://wp.baubiolgie-brida.com).
The menu on top should float to the right of the logo. I set the position of the menu to "float right" in generatepress. This has the same effect as setting it to "on top of header". Both times the menu moves the header image down. Shouldn't float right fix this?

Do you have both your site title and tagline disabled in "Customize > Header Content"?
The checkboxes need to be checked to disable these elements.

That did the trick.
My "Slogan" was empty but the box was not checked.
