Lottie Animations block not displaying in Elements
3 replies · Started by Chris on November 23, 2021
I want to place an animated logo (Lottie Animation (json file)) in the website header using a Site Header element.
The animated logo displays fine when embedded in the content of a page (using the Lottie animation block provided by Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg):

However, when I create Site Header element and add the same Lottie anmiation block there, nothing displays:

Here's an example of a Site Header element with a static image instead of a Lottie Animation which displays fine:

Active theme: (child of) GeneratePress 3.1.0
The plugins active on the site are:
GenerateBlocks Version 1.4.0 by Tom Usborne | Auto-updates disabled
GP Premium Version 2.1.1 by Tom Usborne | Auto-updates disabled
Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg Version 1.25.0 by Brainstorm Force | Auto-updates disabled
WP Add Mime Types Version 3.0.0 by Kimiya Kitani | Auto-updates disabled
WP Show Posts Version 1.1.3 by Tom Usborne | Auto-updates disabled
WP Show Posts Pro Version 1.0.0 by Tom Usborne | Auto-updates disabled
Yoast Duplicate Post Version 4.2 by Enrico Battocchi & Team Yoast | Auto-updates disabled
Deactivating unnecessary plugins does nothing.
Your help would be very much appreciated! I have included an admin login, if that helps, below.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi there,
is that a specific block being used to add the Lottie file ?
If so you would need to check with its plugin author and ask them how to make them work when the Block is added outside the_content as that looks to be the issue.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Yes. It's this block: https://ultimategutenberg.com/docs/lottie/
I'll drop them a message to see if they can shed any light on the problem.
Thanks,
Chris
