[Resolved] looking for alt solution to native WP comment functionality

Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative comment function to replace native WP comments?

I’ve been trying out options and looking for something for over a year but have yet to find a solution that:

1. doesn’t drag down page load speeds (jetpack) or increase server load
2. require a boat load of customization to work or require fee based third party solutions to enact enqueuing (i.e. disquss)
3. prevents anon comments
4. keeps spam under control
5. provides admin moderation

The closest I’ve come so far is facebook comments but they have made creating the necessary app to enable comment moderation a serious pain in the neck. They also do a terrible job at notifying when new comments come in.

Jetpack comments are a resource suck (I won’t use the plugin at all any more), Disquss and their sponsored comments, lack of control, and constantly changing terms, make it a non-starter. A host of other third party solutions have terrible service, cost way more than they are worth, have no information about the impact they have on server load and search ranking, or come from devs with little to no long term reputation.

As such, I appreciate any feedback others are able to provide,

Unfortunately it doesn’t have great ratings..

Seems like an opening for a plugin company to build a solid comment system.

I wonder if anyone knows a developer who knows what it means to code solutions that focus on performance, SEO and usability? 🙂

It’s important to support great developers and you already know I think you under-charge for the premium version. I do hope you’re considering the option of a higher price point via a white label solution along with something that bundles all of your plugins (free and premium) into a single package under one license (which, if nothing else, would make things much easier for users to manage).
