Hi,
I’m looking for a step-by-step guide to create an E-commerce site with WooCommerce and GP Premium themes.
Could you please direct me to some documentation or a link?Best regards,

Hi Avi,
Here is a document you may refer to regarding this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/woocommerce-overview/
Moreover, here is our YouTube Channel for more tutorial videos on how to use our products: https://www.youtube.com/c/GeneratePress/videos
You may also view our site library which holds various e-commerce templates you can also start off from: https://generatepress.com/site-library/
Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you’ll need further assistance regarding this. 🙂

Hi Alan
Thanks for the response.
Let me have a look.
Meanwhile, I have the following in my mind right now:
I seems that when using a Premium theme from the site library, I have to download It’s library first and build my site on it.
Is that right?
I was wondering if it is possible to build the e-commerce site first (based on the default Storefront theme), then once the site is built, change over to a GP Premium theme (specifically, I’m targeting the “target” theme).
Is that possible?
I find no way to do that as the Premium themes are not listed on WP dashboard’s theme list.February 16, 2022 at 4:02 am #2120829David
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
for clarity the Sites in the GP Premium Site Library are not themes.
Think of them as prebuilt websites that are being imported into your WP install – the only difference being is they DO NOT delete your existing site.I seems that when using a Premium theme from the site library, I have to download It’s library first and build my site on it.
Is that right?Ideally yes, should install GP Theme, GP Premium and import a Site from library and then start building. See my notes at end.

Is that possible? No, as explained at top of reply.
If you have a site already built in another Theme such as storefront and you want to move it to GP and install one of our sites then you can but it takes some work.
1. First we recommend you do not do this on a live site. You should move your site to staging.
2. Switch themes – and do a basic check for any issues – here should be none but if something glaringly is broken then fix it now. Don’t worry about styles.
3. Import the Site from the library, now you will need to remove the content you don’t require and update any logos, menus, widget areas that the Site imported.February 27, 2022 at 12:56 am #2135114Avi
