    Hello,

I have a page that will have a lot of text for the reader. To help the reader get an overview and navigate the page, I would like to have a menu in my sidebar with the different anchors as menu-items. I want the menu to be “sticky” and for the current anchor in the menu to have a certain background color. In regards to sidebar objects being “sticky”, please note that I also have sticky navigation, so there must be some sort of margin-top so that the sidebar widget isn’t covered by the sticky navigation.

    Kindest regards,

    Pontus

    Hi there,

You could use the Navigation Menu widget, with a menu you created in “Appearance > Menus”.

Then you could use a plugin like this to make the widget sticky: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/

Then, to highlight the items when you scroll to them, this widget might help: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/page-scroll-to-id/

    Hope this helps 🙂
