I have a GP site at hardyness.com. I have created a logo, but with the constraints of being 350x70px, it seems very small, especially since I have quite a bit of room for it.

Is there a way that I can modify the theme (or add CSS) to allow for a bigger space for the logo? (so that I could upload a larger logo).

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

You can adjust the logo height by adjusting the Menu Item Height.

Customize > Layout > Primary Navigation > Menu Item Height
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/menu-item-height-width/#height

Additionally you could also upload a retina logo which will perform better on retina screens.
The option is at Customize > Site Identity > Retina Logo

Let me know :)

Hi Ying,

Thanks for your reply. I don't want to change the size of the nav menu links. If I do the adjustment you called for, will that also make the nav menu links large? I just want to be able to upload a larger logo.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Ying,

Actually, I tried that and it works OK on the desktop version, but on mobile the page title is raised up high - too close to the hamburger menu.

Is there a way, on mobile only, of lowering the Page title so it doesn't butt up against the hamburger menu?

Mark

You can adjust the mobile navigation height at:
Customizer > Layout > Primary Navigation > Menu Item Height (mobile)

Let me know :)

Yes, but that doesn’t increase the space between the logo/nav line and the page title on mobile.

Hi there,

can you provide a link to your site where we can see the issue.

Sure, David,

Thanks, I tried that, but it seems I also have to use some site header height offset. When I use the height offset PLUS top padding, it seems to work.

Glad you've figured out :)
