[Resolved] Links do not have a discernible name for Social Icons in the Menu

Hello @David,

Google PageSpeed Insights is flagging my Social Icons in the Main Menu that does not have a discernible name.

I am not sure how to fix this.

Hi Charbel,

GP has no control over the HTML outputs of the menu items, it’s managed by WordPress.

May I ask how did you add the social icons?

I have used the Menu with custom Links and added the following code for each Social Icon.
The example below is for Twitter:

Then I added the URL for my Social Profile and added a Class called social-icon to align in CSS for my Mobile menu.

Hi there,

in Appearance > Menus – open the Screen Options tab ( top right corner ) and Check the Title Attribute option.
Then edit your items that are just icons and give them a Title.
