Linking to custom author archive

Hello Tom,

Not sure if this is possible but I want to create custom author pages on my site and have the author link point to the custom page. I found this https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/linking-author-in-post-to-about-page/ which I think will work for a single author but is there a way to make this work on a multi author site.

EG each author would have a custom author page which would link from the author link at the top of each post.

I also want to retain all the author schema and have it be a permanent redirect (301)
