Link to Search in Navigation

Hello. I was wondering if there's a way to link some text or a button in the body copy back up to the search function in the main navigation bar. For example, if I have a link in the body of my homepage, or any other page for that matter, that says "click here to search our inventory", when clicked it would either jump or smooth scroll back up to the top main nav and open the search bar so someone can start typing in their search. Or it could just even open up the search function in the sticky nav, since I will have that toggled on, at least for desktop. Thanks in advance for any attempt to help.
