Hi Folks,

I thought the problem had disappeared.
Apparently, it is persistent.

I have a lot of content on UC:
http://www.understand-culture.com

With several hyperlinks on each page
redirecting to other pages within the site.

On one of the pages, clicking on anything
... logo, menu, clickable terms ...
redirects to YouTube.

This time, however, I have additionalinsight.
It links to the video on YouTube which
I have imbedded on that page.

Thusfar I am experiencing this problem
only on one page. However, for you to access
that page, in order to see the problem, I need
to set up an account for you.

Can you, please, send me an email address
so that I can set up a gratis-account for you.

It should be your email in order for you to
respond to the two-factor authentication.

Or would it be better if I gave you admin-access?

Thanks.

John

. . . and in the meantime the problem
is on other pages.

Could the problem be caused by the fact
that I have not yet updated to
GenerateBlocks Pro 1.5.0?

John

I just updated GenerateBlocks Pro 1.5.0
The problem persists.

Hi John,

please use the support@generatepress.com email address

Here you go, Dave:

http://www.understand-culture.com/wp-admin

RECEIVED AND MOVED BY GP ADMIN

To see the problem, go to:

Germany:USA ... Communication

Germany ... in German, French, Italian: de fr it
USA ... in Italian: it

Let me know what else you need.
Or if above is unclear.

Thanks.

. . . another piece of forensic evidence, Dave:

I just realized that on the problem-pages
you need only click anywhere on the page,
not necessarily on a clickable term or on
the menu, or the logo . . .

in order to get redirected to the video
on YouTube which is imbedded on that
given page.

See:
https://understand-culture.com/de-us-2/communication/

I hope that helps.

Ok, so if you select one of the Container blocks that has the text and container link, eg. "Directness".
In the sidebar > Settings > Layout can you set the Position to: Relative

Repeat that for each of those Containers.

I made the changes, Dave.
But it did not help.

John

Problem solved.
Great, great, great work, Dave !

I know, I know: "No big deal, John."
Because you know GP and GP Blocks inside and out.
But for me, as the user, your solution is a big deal.

It saved me a lot of time.
I would have asked my hosting company to upload a backup.
I would have had to redo a lot of formatting.
And there is go guaranty that I would not repeat the mistake.

A second reason ... now I know how to make a container,
and not just the term within it, clickable.

That's hugely positive for folks accessing my site
on a smartphone where their selection by fingers is
not as precise as on a laptop or desktop.

Thanks, Dave !

John

You're very welcome John. I appreciate the kind words and feedback :)
