Hi Tom,
some weird appearance... the LSF doesn't work correctly: I get some weird symibols on my start page: http://sven-koeck.de
I read it could depend on CDN, that I had activated With WP Super Cache. After getting wrong symbols (I assume these are Japanese letters or something like that) I cleaned the cache, turned CDN off, turned caching off... but that didn't help. Actually I have WP Super Cache activated but without CDN...
Any suggestions?
Best regards,
Sven
Hi Sven,
This might help: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/icons-showing-in-foreign-characters/
Let us know.
Yep, this is the important part of that topic: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26125030/font-awesome-icons-not-showing-in-chrome-a-maxcdn-related-cross-origin-resource
Hi there,
this is exactly what happens: the icons are displayd correctly in IE, but not in Chrome.
But I don't know how to solve my problem... I don't use any plugin for a CDN!? The only CDN referrence I found is with the Autoptimize plug-in. But I get errors as soon as I insert "//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.2.0/css/font-awesome.min.css" into the CDN-field there.
So I wonder where to do what...!?
Thanx in advance for your support,
Sven
Adding the code in that topic to your .htaccess file will fix it.
This can happen if the URL you're visiting is different from the URL you have set in "Settings > General".
Hi Tom,
thank you for your outstanding support (again!)!
Best regards,
Sven
(absolutely delighted)
Glad I could help :)
