Hi
I would love to use "Lightweight Social Icons". I have been building wesites for over 20 years. Now for the last 7 years using wordpress. For the last five I have been using generatepress as its so fast. I have built 50+ sites some very big and complex, I always get my sites to load in 2 seconds or less. This site went live last week https://gothamcitykitties.org/ I know what I'm doing.

But I have never been able to get "Lightweight Social Icons" to work!
I can not be the only person with this problem.
Is there step by step instructions any where or a movie would be better.

I usually go with "Sassy Social Share" its very easy to use has many options.

I have stopped using page builders and use your "GenerateBlocks" and have found I can build anything my friends want. Note Gothamcitykitties.org uses some "site Origin" plugins, working out the easiest way for the owner to edit!
Please either send instructions or direct me to some to install, and load on the site "Lightweight Social Icons".
Thank you.
Peter

Hi Peter,

Most of the issues we get with LSI are Google PSI related rather than functionality.

Can you explain a bit more on what issue you're encountering? Is the plugin not working completely on your end?

If it's about the update about WordPress widgets, LSI still works w/ WP 5.8 update.

You can see the sidebar of this site - https://dev-generate-press.pantheonsite.io/ - The icon of Behance is placed using LSI.

Hi Elvin,
In WordPress Gutenberg Block Editor I put the "Lightweight Social Icons" widget on a page it shows 3 colored squares. I can click on click on and duplicate them but the is all! Nothing shows on the front end of the page Im unable to find any settings anywhere for the plugin?

Hi there,

you mention you usuually use Sassy Social Share which is different to Lightweight Social icons, the latter only provides links to your social sites, not sharing. If you want to those kinds of links within the post content then you would be better off using either the Social Link block that comes with core blocks, or use the GenerateBlocks plugin and use a Buttons Block to build your own social icon links.
