License key in database

Hi,
something annoys me a little bit: The license key of GP Premium is saved in the WP database in clear letters/numbers.
I have a client project, where some other people from other companies have access to the database. So they can easily find my license key with two clicks, if they want. In my eyes, it is not very secure.
I know, that I can see the activated websites in my dashboard, but: Theoretically they can save the GP Premium plugin, use the license (activate it for just a moment to update, then deactivate it again).
The SEO plugin I use only saves a license identificator key and not the whole serial number itself.
Hi there,
This is definitely something I'd like to improve in the near future. Even just hashing the key would help a lot.
When it comes to clients, this is why it can be beneficial to purchase them their own license keys. This way you're never exposing your key to someone else.
Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it :)
Hi Tom,
thanks for adressing it in the near future.
Yes, maybe the customer should purchase a license, but then the customers license key is readable for involved people. The issue stays the same. ;-)
I agree - I'll see what I can do :)
I just bought the premium version... I have two questions...
there any way to hide my license ?
where I can see all the websites that I have with my license key ?
Any chance you can open a new topic for your question?
Thanks :)
