License Activation Field Not Found

Greeings!
I kicked the tires on the GeneratePress theme, found I liked it, and purchased a lifetime license. Using instructions found in documentation, I located my license key, but when navigating to Appearance > GeneratePress, I wasn't able to locate the form to enter my key.
I'm guessing that I'll need to install the "Professional" version of the theme in order to see that field. My question/concern: by doing so, I will lose all the customizations I've made to the free versions, yes? How can I do this without creating a mountain of work for myself?
Do I lose my content?

Hi David,
You should be able to download the GP premium plugin (note: it's a plugin not a theme) at https://generatepress.com/account/
Once it's downloaded, go to dashboard > plugins > add new, then upload the zip file.
