Hi there,

Just doing a redesign on a staging site as I'm moving it to generatepress and blocks.

Now my site has this greyish area on the sides of articles. I'm adjsuting colour backgrounds to just white but this greyish tinge is still there.

I want the entire page to be white and not this greyish tinge on the left and right sides of the main content.

I cleared my cache but not sure how to fix this one.

Thanks,
Hugo

Hi Hugo,

I've checked the page you've linked and I don't see any "greyish tinge" on the background of the content.

Can you share a screenshot of what you see? Also, can you try checking it on another screen and/or computer?

Hi Elvin,

Here's a screenshot.

See how the main content has a wide background but surroudning is a darkery grey.

I don't see any dark grey discoloration but your background color for the body tag itself isn't pure white.

It's using background-color: #fffcfc; which is real close to #ffffff (pure white).

But I'm not sure this is what you're pertaining to. I wonder if perhaps your screen has uneven lighting issue as even on the screenshot you've shared, I didn't see a dark grey color on the background.

I've dug around the CSS of any backgrounds as well and I didn't find anything. Only the background-color: #fffcfc; I've mentioned.

Have you tried checking it on another monitor?

Hi Elvin,
Yes you're correct I thought it was #ffffff and my monitor enhances the slight chance in colour.

Thanks for all your help.

Kind regards,
Hugo

Ah yes I think HDR and other setting does that.

Glad you got it sorted. :D

Thanks.

No problem. :D
