    hey there,
i know trying to get a perfect score is a pain, & i know CLS in particular can be painful – but i was just wondering if anyone can help me with this gt metrix issue.
    <div class="site grid-container container hfeed"> – it’s a 0.09 on the scale (not worth worrying about)?
i’m running wp-rocket & have tested/enabled everything around cls optimisation.
i’m also running dns through cloudflare.
it’s on a vultr high frequency server.
here’s the url if you want to check https://aotearoawebdesign.co.nz/
is it something to do with header/nav height? that seems to be what’s shifting on page load.
thanks heaps, any pointers or advice much appreciated.

i seem to have improved things, the server is in sydney, so if running a test please use that location.
    still interested in your thoughts.
    cheers,

    Hi Json,

    It’s an issue w/ WP Rocket’s settings.

You can actually do 2 separate test.

One with WP Rocket disabled – https://aotearoawebdesign.co.nz/?nowprocket=1
And one with it enabled – https://aotearoawebdesign.co.nz/

You can actually see that the one without WP Rocket scored higher and has 0 CLS.

    w/o WP rocket – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0uZgeQW
    w/ WP Rocket – https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quE5rB2

You may have to disable some features of WP Rocket and keep testing to see what combination of settings give the best yield in performance. (try disabling features like Critical CSS)
